I never thought I'd be writing about music but it might make sense since I like playing guitar and I'm a fan of many guitar players. Sometimes I hear something that is completely beyond the usual that captures my mind, imagination and motivation. The player's name is Artur Menezes and "wow", you have to listen to him. He is from Brazil but plays a blues rock style all his own with Hendricks and Clapton influences. His tone is a fantastic Stratocaster sound with his licks being a very tight, bluesy, vibrato. His melodic gamut entails all of what soulful Blues Rock is about and beyond. His voice is manicured for Blues Rock being very soulful. It is all in my opinion very captivating.
He's toured with blues legend Buddy Guy which according to him was "the best moment of his career." There is a short Wikipedia written about him. Listening to a gifted young player like him makes me want to go back to the drawing board.
I have a subscription to YouTube Music which I really enjoy because you can use the Google Assistant to play whatever your heart desires. Traveling around to destinations when there is no network connection for streaming, you have to then use Bluetooth to stream your music. That is when you have to purchase and download your music to your phone like I've done with Joe Satriani releases.
You can listen to Artur Menezes music(for free I believe) on YouTube here.
You can download his music here.
I personally like the Fading Away album but really, it's all I've delved into so far.
If you like Blues Rock, give him a listen and let me know what you think. I think it's really something special.
